• Credit card (all major accepted) and WSU ProCards accepted. We do not begin projects unless payment has been made.
• Check (payable to Wayne State University).
• IRB (Internal Requisition and Inter-Account Bill; single and/or standing). You MUST have the IRB copy upon picking up your order!
• As a courtesy, please have your work order number ready if you call or when you pick up your order!

• Large format latex printing

  Large format latex printing

  Latex inks are pigmented, water-based inks using innovative aqueous-dispersed polymer Latex technology. Latex printing is used across a wide range of applications and materials such as soft signage, wallpapers, vehicle graphics, banners, and vinyl. With uses both indoor and outdoor, the ability to print on both coated and uncoated materials makes this method of printing extremely versatile. We can print up to 62" wide.

  • Outdoor banner signage (for more permanent outdoor signage, an UV overlaminate should be applied)
  • Decorative wall, window, and floor graphics (floor graphics require the non-slip matte textured overlaminate)

• Photography

  Portrait photography

  • The sitting fee for a studio portrait is $30 per headshot. This includes photographing you in the studio in various poses; you choose one photo from these poses. This photo is touched-up, cropped and adjusted. You will be emailed the final high-resolution file for your own use.
  • To make an appointment, please use our portrait scheduler with Microsoft bookings.
  • If you have groups of individuals that need photos, please contact us so we can create a schedule that accommodates everyone.

  WSU SOM event photography

  • The fee for on-site WSU SOM event photography is $100/hour and and additional $50 for photo processing and archiving ($150 minimum fee). You will be emailed the final high-resolution photos for your own use. (on-site is defined as the School of Medicine, Mazurek Medical Education Commons, Lande or Elliman buildings).
  • Offsite photography has a minimum of $25 travel fee (this is mandatory if the photographers leave the School of Medicine building to travel to your site).
  • After hours and weekends (after 5 p.m. weeknights and all weekends) are $75 per hour with a four-hour minimum, not including travel fee. After hours and weekends are subject to the availability of the photographer. Please contact us for details.

  United States Passport photo

  • We take US Passport photos that comply with the current standards for photo submissions, see below for details.

    The cost for passport photos that include 8- 2" x 2" prints and the digital file is $15.

    If you are renewing online and do not need a printed photo, the cost is $8

    Pose and Expression

    • Have a neutral facial expression or a natural smile, with both eyes open. 
    • Face the camera directly with full face in view. 
    • Note to parents of young children: we have sample photos in the Photo Examples section below with tips for submitting a baby's passport photo. We realize that an infant's pose and expression are challenging to maintain for a photo.

    Attire

    • You cannot wear glasses.
    • If you cannot remove your glasses for medical reasons, please include a signed note from your doctor with application.
    • Taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis.  
    • You cannot wear a uniform, clothing that looks like a uniform, or camouflage attire. 
    • You cannot wear a hat or head covering.
    • If you wear a hat or head covering for religious purposes, submit a signed statement that verifies that the hat or head covering in your photo is part of traditional religious attire  worn continuously in public.
    • If you wear a hat or head covering for medical purposes, submit a signed doctor's statement verifying the hat or head covering in your photo is used daily for medical purposes.
    • Your full face must be visible and your hat or head covering cannot cast shadows or cover up part of your face.
    • You cannot wear headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
    • You can wear jewelry and keep on your facial piercings as long as they do not hide your face. Permanent tattoos are acceptable for passport purposes as well.
• Archival photo printing

  Archival photo printing

  An archival print is the term used to describe fine art reproductions of museum quality. This process is using the finest quality papers and inks designed to resist color fading. are reproduced using a fine art printer with exceptionally high resolution. We print on quality paper with no optical brightening agents, like Canon, Hahnemühle Photo Rag, metallic and Moab papers. These prints have the ability to last over 250* years framed under UV glass. This is much different than what drug stores/supermarkets offer and thsi is why there is a moderate price difference.

• Foam board mounting

  Foam board mounting

  We keep 32" x 40", standard-sized, boards in stock at all times. If you need anything larger, we would need to special order. It is $15 for each white foam board and $16 for each black foam board. This includes the adhesive.

  • Our foam core comes in 3/16" and is available in white or black. White foam core board has a smooth, clay-coated lining that gives it a smooth satin finish. Black foam core board has a solid black core, wrapped in black matte paper.
  • Foam core (Foam board) is a durable and lightweight material used for the mounting of posters, photographic prints, as a backing for picture framing, and for rigid signage that is used to display on easels.
  • We will only mount Heavy Weight Coated Paper or Semi-Gloss Paper on foam core boards. Basic Coated Paper is will ripple when mounting.
  • Note: black foam core is a special request please call ahead and check on availability before submitting your project to be mounted.
• Wire binding for documents

  Wire Binding

  • 3/8" 3:1 pitch, good for about binding 30 pages, $3 each
  • 9/16" 3:1 pitch, good for binding about 66 pages, $4 each
  • 1" 2:1 pitch, good for binding about 140 pages, $5 each
  • These pages are approximate, 28lb paper was used for the demo. Heavier weights may yield slightly less pages in the bound booklet. Larger booklets should user a lighter weight such as 24lb.
    • Prices shown do not reflect any document printing.
    • 2:1 pitch means there are 2 punched holes in 1" good for larger bindings.
    • 3:1 pitch means there are 3 smaller punches holes in 1" good for smaller bindings.
  • All bindings will come with an 8mil clear plastic cover and a bright yellow cardstock back cover.
  • Please note - all wire binding projects must be lazer printed from our department. We do not accept pre-printed materials.

  

• Motion design

  Motion design/animation or any video editing is $50/hour. All video must be captioned by a human (auto captioning on YouTube is not 100% accurate, therefore, it must be captioned by a human. The cost for captioning is $1.05 per minute - that cost may change depending on who and where the video is being published. Licensing music is on a per-need basis and the cost varies. Please contact us for specifics.

• Rush fees

  We understand at times things may be a bit rushed and projects can come down to the last minute. If this happens, we do offer a rush fee for $25 per poster or full print job. Because we operate a multifaceted studio that involves a myriad of disciplines and deadlines, we need to reschedule our workflow to accommodate a rush order, which displaces the workflow.

  Please note during busy times we may not offer a rush fee due to limited resources. We try to accommodate everyone and if you find yourself in a tight situation, please contact us to see if we can accommodate a rushed deadline.
