  • Advanced color technology and expanded color gamut

Featuring ten pigment-based inks, including an expanded gamut for Chromatic Red, Green, and Blue, our large format inkjet printer offers an extended color range beyond the standard CMYK for vibrant and accurate color reproduction. Pigment ink is best suited for professional-quality work. Unlike dye ink, which contains colorants fully dissolved and suspended in liquid, pigmented ink consists of very fine, undissolved solid particulates of colorant suspended in a liquid carrier. The benefits of pigmented ink include:

    • More durable and archival
    • Typically more resistant to the damaging effects of UV light and humidity
    • Can be more scratch resistant.

    Ten pigment inks:

    • Ten inks will deliver highest professional-photo quality prints with widest gamut.
    • Ink type: pigment-based.
      • Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Matte Black, Photo Black, Chromatic Red, Chromatic Green, Chromatic Blue, Gray, along with a Gloss Enhancer* (*gloss enhancer clear ink is for semi gloss, high gloss and Kodak metallic gloss papers. Gloss enhancer not used with basic, super heavyweight, matte, fabric and other fine art papers)
  • About ink permanence

Many years may pass before noticeable fading and/or changes in color balance occur. Storage conditions, such as illumination intensity, spectral power distribution, ambient temperature, relative humidity, and other factors, will impact the 'lifetime' or 'noticeable change' of the predicted longevity. Estimated ink longevity conditions include avoiding direct sunlight or artificial light exposure, maintaining a stable ambient room temperature, and stable, relatively lower humidity levels. It is highly advisable to keep prints away from direct sunlight and artificial light sources. The use of UV glass will further prolong the permanence of the ink.
